MENTAL HEALTH

A different perspective can change what comes next.

Therapy gives us time and space to look more carefully at how we think, respond, make decisions, and move through the things life puts in front of us.

The value is not only in understanding more. It is in having more ways to work with what we understand.

Therapy is meant to be useful.

Our Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Jay Petry, approaches therapy as a practical, collaborative process. His primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which looks at the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Other therapeutic approaches can be incorporated depending on the person and the work being done.

The method is there to help the work, not define it.

Improvement leaves room for growth.

Jay describes the goal of therapy as improvement rather than perfection.

Therapy can create room for a different perspective, stronger skills, better choices, and new ways of approaching something that may not have been available before.

What develops in therapy should remain useful beyond the hour spent in it.

Mental health is part of healthcare.

Counseling at LTGR is part of the same practice as primary care and the rest of your health. That gives us the ability to recognize when those parts intersect while keeping therapy centered on the work between you and your counselor.

We're here for you.

We accept Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and self-pay, with a sliding fee scale available for those who qualify.
