GYNECOLOGIC CARE

There doesn't have to be a complicated reason to come in.

Periods change. Sex can become uncomfortable. Bleeding happens when it shouldn't. Something hurts. Something feels different. Or maybe it is simply time for a screening.

Gynecologic care covers a lot of ground.

Not every visit needs an exam.

Sometimes a conversation, medical history, or lab test gives us what we need. Sometimes an exam is useful. If a pelvic exam, Pap test, or other procedure makes sense, we'll explain what we're looking for and why before we begin.

Periods, pain, and other changes

Cycles can become heavier, lighter, longer, shorter, irregular, painful, or disappear altogether.

Pelvic pain, pain during sex, vaginal dryness, irritation, discharge, bleeding after sex, or urinary symptoms can all have different causes. Some are straightforward. Others take a little more investigation.

The point is to understand what changed and what may be behind it.

Screening is part of the picture.

Pap and HPV testing help us catch cervical changes early. When and how often screening makes sense depends on age, medical history, previous results, and the anatomy that is present.

We keep track of what is due and talk through what makes sense for you.

Sexual and reproductive health belong here too.

Birth control, STI testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, changes in sexual function, fertility questions, PrEP, perimenopause, and menopause can all be part of gynecologic care.

What needs attention changes over time, and the care should change with it.

We're here to help.

We accept Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and self-pay, with a sliding fee scale available for those who qualify.

If something has changed, something has been bothering you, or you are simply due for routine gynecologic care, call us.
