St. Pete Pride 2025 was everything we hoped it would be — joyful, resilient, and full of love. Even as rain brought the Street Fest to a premature end, the spirit of Pride never faltered, with mini celebrations moving on to their own venues. From the kickoff celebrations to the incredible Transtastic event, this city showed up for its LGBTQIA+ community with color, courage, and connection — and we were proud to be part of it.
At Love The Golden Rule, our mission is rooted in showing up — especially for those who are often underserved or overlooked in healthcare spaces. Pride weekend gave us a beautiful opportunity to do just that: to meet people where they are, provide trusted information, and offer access to affirming, inclusive care.
A Weekend of Connection and Community
Our team was out in full force with free resources, health education, and outreach materials to support the well-being of everyone who stopped by our booth.
We shared information about:
– Free Hepatitis C testing and treatment
– Access to HIV prevention tools like PrEP
– Our commitment to gender-affirming care
– How to find a primary care provider who sees you — and supports you
We also distributed branded giveaways, answered health questions, and built new relationships with people from all across Tampa Bay. Despite the early rainout of the Street Fest, the turnout and energy were undeniable. The hugs, the laughter, and the heartfelt stories shared with our team reminded us exactly why this work matters.
Celebrating Trans Joy at Transtastic
We were proud to serve as a sponsor of Transtastic, one of the most meaningful and affirming events within St. Pete Pride — a celebration created by and for the trans and nonbinary community. Transtastic is more than a festival feature or party; it’s a vibrant, powerful reminder that trans joy, visibility, and leadership deserve to be front and center, not just during Pride but every day.
Our full Love The Golden Rule team showed up in support — not just in name, but in presence. We were honored to stand alongside other community organizations, share resources, and connect with attendees in a space designed to celebrate authenticity and build trust.
A special highlight was the participation of our Trans Navigator, Lindsey, who plays a key role in supporting our trans patients through every step of their healthcare journey. From helping individuals access gender-affirming care to serving as a compassionate point of contact for new patients, Lindsey’s work reflects the very heart of what Transtastic stands for: empowerment, access, and belonging.
